The South Carolina Honors College is able to offer a small number of scholarships as detailed below.

Mould / Sederberg Scholarship - $2,500.00 / academic year |

The Mould/Sederberg Scholarship is given to rising juniors or seniors in the Honors College. It requires a minimum 3.5 GPA, and it requires a demonstration of financial need. The Scholarship is renewable for a second year contingent on the availability of funds and satisfactory academic performance. To apply a student must write a letter to the Dean of the Honors College requesting consideration for the Mould/Sederberg Scholarship. The letter should detail the academic work that the student has been pursuing and hopes to continue to pursue. It should also discuss the student's financial situation and how this Scholarship will help. Applications for the next academic year are due by April 1. |

South Carolina College Scholarship - $1,400.00 / academic year |

The South Carolina College Scholarship is given to out-of-state Honors College students who have no other scholarship support. It requires a minimum GPA of 3.5. No application is necessary. The award is given as a matter of course to all out-of-state students who have no other scholarship support. |

James Gadsden Holmes IV - up to $1,500.00 / academic year |

Established by James G. Holmes V, father of an Honors College graduate.
This $1,500 scholarship is given initially to a worthy incoming freshman. If the student remains in good academic standing, the Committee can award the scholarship for consecutive years of the student's undergraduate tenure. No application is necessary beyond the initial Honors College application. |

John S. Herin Scholarship - $1,000.00 / academic year |

Established by Greg Smith, a graduate of the South Carolina Honors College class of 1988.
The South Carolina Honors College Scholarship Committee will award this scholarship to a worthy honors student who is not a resident of South Carolina and who has completed one year of study. The selected recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the academic year.
Qualified students who are in good standing with the Honors College should submit a letter to Dean Davis Baird explaining why they should be considered for this scholarship. The letter should detail the academic work that the student has been pursuing and hopes to continue to pursue. It should also discuss how this scholarship would benefit the student. Applications for the next academic year are due by April 1. |

David D. Brown Scholarship - $1,000.00 / academic year |

Established by Mark E. Brown, a graduate of the South Carolina Honors College class of 1983.
The South Carolina Honors College Scholarship Committee will award a scholarship to a worthy honors student who is majoring in business administration (i.e. any business degree) with priority going to those in financial need. The selected recipient will receive a $1,000 scholarship for the academic year.
Business honors college students in good standing should submit a letter to Dean Davis Baird explaining why they should be considered for this scholarship. The letter should detail the academic work that the student has been pursuing and hopes to continue to pursue. It should also discuss the student's financial situation and how this Scholarship will help. Applications for the next academic year are due by April 1. |
