Originally from New Orleans, Anna came to USC for graduate school and loved South Carolina so much that she decided to stay!  At the Honors College, Anna advises business and journalism students and serves as director of communications.  In addition to her role at the Honors College, Anna is a practicing artist whose work has been exhibited in the U.S. and abroad.  Her work has been featured in print and film and is held in private and public collections, including the South Carolina Arts Foundation's State Art Collection.  Her current body of work is concerned with food systems, and she is Artist in Residence at Doko Farm in Blythewood, South Carolina.

When she's not on the Horseshoe or her studio in the South Carolina Lowcountry, Anna stays active in the Columbia community.  She is a founding officer of the board of directors of the 701 Center for Contemporary Art and past president of the board of directors of the Columbia Design League. She currently serves as a member of the advisory boards of Slow Food Columbia and the Columbia Design League, and as an officer of the Historic Melrose Association. In her free time she enjoys hiking, good cheese, and restoring old houses.
