This program is designed to provide honors college students with the opportunity to develop themselves as future leaders of the Carolina community. It is a three day program during the month of August designed to impart students with the knowledge and skill to emerge as confident leaders in their class. Students will tackle and facilitate discussions on key community issues and develop critical interpersonal skills. Additionally, students will plan and execute a community or university project during the month of October. Participants will be recognized at a reception event held at the Honors Residence Hall in November. We welcome all majors to apply as leaders are needed in every walk of life. Members must attend the leadership sessions (Aug 26-28 Fri-Sun 2:30-4:30pm)
DEAL participants will also plan and execute a community or university initiative during the month of October- the planning will be initiated during the leadership sessions
