Michael Hill Award

The Michael A. Hill Award for Outstanding Honors College Faculty was generously endowed by Mr. Hill in appreciation of the professors he had while a student at the South Carolina Honors College. Michael Hill graduated from USC in 1992 with a degree in International Studies and the distinction of Honors from the South Carolina Honors College.

Through Michael A. Hill's thoughtful gift, we honor a faculty member chosen by South Carolina Honors College seniors as one they judge to have had the most profound impact on their undergraduate careers. The winners of this award in the past have been the kind of teachers who demanded much of their students, and thereby gave much to those students fortunate enough to study with them.

Students will be notified by the Honors College each year when nominations are opened.
