The Office of the Provost's planning and assessment mission is to provide accurate and relevant information in order to support institutional planning, decision making and accreditation.  Academic and service units develop yearly strategic plans (Blueprints for Academic Excellence)  explaining key decisions to be made in the next decade and beyond.

The Office of Institutional Research, Assessment and Analytics (OIRAA) serves as the official source of accurate, relevant and timely information for the University of South Carolina.  OIRAA provides information to key decision makers at the university for planning processes and coordinating and monitoring compliance activities for institutional accreditation.

The Office of Academic Programs coordinates development, revision, and termination of degree programs and courses for the USC System.
