UofSC postdoctoral scholars may compete for funding through the Advanced Support for Innovative Research Excellence, or ASPIRE, internal funding program. Beginning with the 2015 funding cycle, postdocs may apply for ASPIRE-I, Track II-B, which provides funding to develop a relatively new line of research exploration for which they ultimately plan to seek new scholarly pursuits, including external funding.
