Our Path Forward
Just as COVID-19 has challenged the world, it has presented monumental challenges for higher education throughout the United States. As an agile university committed to properly serving our students, community and state, we responded with a swift urgency that allowed our students to progress their education despite unprecedented community closures.
At the same time, we were deeply immersed in evaluating and establishing new strategic
priorities, opportunities and goals that would position the university for continuing
success in the years ahead. We recently shared the result of that effort in our university's new strategic plan, For South Carolina: A Path to Excellence. On Wed., Sept. 30 President Caslen shared his plans for our way forward through today’s
— and tomorrow’s — challenges.
