Biography:
I received my undergraduate degree in English with an emphasis in British and American
literature from Pacific Union College in California's Napa Valley. There, I developed
a deep love for American 20th-century literature, especially the novels of John Steinbeck,
which lend themselves to ecocritical analysis and the study of affective ecologies.
When I'm not reading and researching, I spend most of my time outdoors, hiking with
my cream retriever, Hemingway, or baking for friends and family.
My most recent publication can be found in ISLE: Interdisciplinary studies in Literature and the Environment, and is titled "Under Strange and Evil Stars: Ecologies of Pain in Steinbeck's 'To A God Unknown.'"
