Partnerships and collaboration between a variety of organizations and agencies are critical to improving education throughout the state. Through our combined strength, partnerships established by the College of Education are far more effective at diagnosing problems, offering solutions, establishing best practices and creating sustainable models than what any individual entity can achieve alone.
And although each partner brings a unique perspective to the table, we are all passionate about learning outcomes, and we are committed to the young people of South Carolina. As a result, we're making a huge impact on the economic future of our state.

Current Outreach Initiatives
ALL4SC - The Accelerator for Learning and Leadership for South Carolina
The Accelerator for Learning and Leadership for South Carolina (ALL4SC) is one of eight newly funded research and outreach projects which are part of the University’s Excellence Initiative, launched by its Board of Trustees to fuel innovations in teaching and learning across the state.
Anne Frank House at USC
The University of South Carolina is now home to a permanent exhibition and educational program in partnership with the Anne Frank House in Amsterdam, becoming one of only four partner sites in the world and the only one in North America.
Apple Core Initiative
As part of our ongoing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, the Apple Core Initiative seeks to enroll additional education students from historically underrepresented populations into the teacher education programs at the University of South Carolina to fill both a capacity and diversity void in South Carolina public schools.
CarolinaLIFE
CarolinaLIFE is an individualized, non-degree program for students with identified, diverse learning needs (e.g. intellectual disability).
Center for Community Counseling
The Center for Community Counseling offers no-cost, quality counseling services to people who are unable to get help elsewhere.
Center for Educational Partnerships
Launched by the College of Education in 2013, the Center brings together five diverse partners to leverage existing education resources, build grassroots capacity for schools and districts and improve K-12 student achievement throughout the state. The core partners collaborate to offer professional development to educators, make research and evidence-based practices accessible and bring schools, families and communities together.
Core partners of the Center for Educational Partnerships include:
- S.C. School Improvement Council
- S.C. Geographic Alliance
- S.C. Educational Policy Center
- S.C. Middle Grades Initiative
- Writing Improvement Network
Gamecock EdQuarters
In addition to providing student services at the College of Education, Gamecock EdQuarters houses Clinical Experience Coordinators who collaborate with partner districts to place candidates in our teacher preparation programs for practicums and internships.
