Research and Teaching Interests

Dr. Pearson has taught a number of core courses in the Health Promotion, Education, and Behavior department, including concepts and methods, theory and program planning. He has also held several administrative roles within and beyond the School. As associate dean, Dr. Pearson is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the School as well as overseeing school-wide accreditation activities. Dr. Pearson is interested in advancing population health improvements through policy, systems and environmental changes, particularly in the areas of chronic disease prevention and healthy aging.
