Beth first joined the University of South Carolina staff in 2000 managing public policy research projects.  She soon began managing two internship programs: the Washington Semester Program and the South Carolina Semester Program.  In 2009, she joined the Honors College as the Director of Internships.  In 2015, Beth was named as the Director of Alumni Engagement at the Honors College.

In the community, Beth is an elected member of the Board of Trustees for Lexington-Richland School District Five where she has served as the chairwoman, vice chair and secretary of the Board. She has served as a presenter at the South Carolina School Boards Association (SCSBA) Legislative Conference discussing school board and legislative relationship building, as a trainer/facilitator for SCSBA's School Board Training initiative and as a leader in the strategic planning process for SCSBA's committee on community relations. She is a graduate of Leadership Columbia and Leadership South Carolina.  From 2014 to 2016, she served on the Board of Trustees for Leadership South Carolina.

Beth graduated from the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in journalism/public relations and a master’s degree in public administration.   She has a son who graduated from The Citadel, a daughter who graduated from the South Carolina Honors College and the USC School of Law and her cat, Rebel, who tolerates the newest member of the family, a rescued American Bulldog named Chevy.
