Health Problems in a Changing Society
Taught By: Andrew Kaczynski
This course focuses on current and emerging health problems in society: causes, effects, and prevention.
The goal is to provide the student with an introduction to the factors which influence health in a changing society, including population change, health care availability, behavioral choices, and others. This course will offer the opportunity to examine a wide array of current public health issues and discuss strategies, programs, and policy development designed to address these issues within the context of a changing society. We will investigate course topics through lecture, film, online forums, service-learning, active discussion, and debate-oriented guided readings.
